Please Note: The City of Casa Grande will allow motor homes, campers, and RV camping on the airport grounds FOR THE FLY-IN EVENT ONLY. Early arrival will be permitted starting Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Departure must be on or before Sunday, March 4, 2012.

Aircraft are judged throughout the event but aircraft must be registered no later than 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3. The aircraft must remain on the ramp until judged to be eligible for Fly-In awards. Aircraft will be judged and awards presented in the following categories:

Aircraft registration will take place at Registration located inside the Airport Terminal Building from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012.

Aircraft are judged throughout the event but you must be registered no later than 2:00 p.m. on Saturday to be eligible for a Fly-In award. The aircraft must remain on the ramp until judged.

There is a $15 registration donation requested per aircraft. The donation includes a Fly-In Coffee Mug and Decal. The donation also includes weekend Fly-In admission for the pilot and crew of the registered aircraft.

A donation of $10.00 per person or $20.00 per planeload is requested for modern aircraft. Registration is not required.

Aircraft Tie-Downs

Airport regulations require that all aircraft must be secured with tie-downs. Cable anchor tie down space is available.

Aviation Fuel

100LL is available. The City of Casa Grande will have two fuel trucks available throughout the event.  The fuel trucks will travel a designated route and service each aircraft along that route provided that the pilot or a person who is authorized to sign for the fuel is with the aircraft.  If you want fuel, either someone must remain with the aircraft or you must place a completed Fuel Request sleeve on your prop and you will be contacted on your cell phone when the fuel truck arrives at your aircraft.  You must arrive within five minutes after being contacted or the fuel truck will move on.  The Fuel Request sleeves are available at the Registration desk in the the Airport Terminal Building.  The fuel trucks are not available on an on-call basis and will not backtrack.  NO EXCEPTIONS!  Please note that during the Cactus Fly-In, full service fuel prices will be the same as self-service.  If you want to use the self-service fuel pump, please ask a AAAA Volunteer for assistance in moving your aircraft to that area.

Absolutely no smoking or open flame permitted on the tarmac or in the aircraft parking areas.

Automobile Parking

Handicap parking is available at the Airport Terminal Building.

Applications and Payments

If you are interested in participating as a vendor at the Cactus Fly-In event, please print and complete the Vendor Application. Send the application, along with the appropriate payment to:

Vendor applications received after Friday, February 10, 2012, will require a mandatory late registration fee of $25. A check in the full amount must be mailed with your application.

A reservation will not be held until the entire fee due is received and the vendor has provided their Arizona Transaction Privilege License number. 

Vendor Spaces

All vendor spaces are located outdoors. Space dimensions are 10' x 10' or 20' x 20' and all trailer hitches and other appendages must fit within the allotted space.

Larger spaces available upon request for an additional fee.

Vendors are responsible for providing their own tents, shades, tables, chairs, etc.

Vendors must do their own set-up and removal of equipment.

There is no electric or water service available in the vendor area. All vendors must be self-contained

All selling must take place within the confines of the space provided. Roaming of the venue is not permitted. Violators of this rule will be removed from the event without a refund.

Food and Beverage Sales

Primary food service at the Cactus Fly-In will be provided by a local non-profit organization. A limited number of snack food and beverage vendors will be permitted. Vendors must submit a menu with their application and only those items approved by the Vendor Chair prior to the event may be sold.

Eligibility to sell certain items will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Submit your application with the required payment early!

The Vendor Chair must approve all menus before the vendor may offer the items for sale and reserves the right to deny the sale of any items.

All vendors selling food or beverages must obtain a Pinal County Health Permit. Read through the Guidelines and complete the Temporary Event Food Booth Form. Return the forms and required permit fee directly to the Pinal County Division of Environmental Health at least two weeks prior to the event.-

Terms and Conditions

Sellers of goods and services are responsible for conformity to all existing regulations of the City of Casa Grande, Pinal County, and the State of Arizona.

Vendors must set up their booths on Thursday, March 1, 2012, between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm unless prior arrangements are made with the Vendor Chairperson.

Please enter the City of Casa Grande Municipal Airport through the main gate and advise the staff member that you are a vendor. You will be directed to the Vendor area.

Vendors must tear down their booths before 12:00 pm on Sunday, March 4, 2012.

Vendors must be prepared to provide proof of insurance upon request.

Under-the-Wing Camping:

Aircraft owners and crew may camp under the wings of their aircraft in the aircraft parking areas. There is no fee for under-the-wing camping. No open fires will be permitted. Smoking is not permitted on the Tarmac or in the aircraft parking areas. You must keep your area clean and tidy.

Motor Homes,Campers & RVs:

The City of Casa Grande will permit motor home, camper, and RV camping from Wednesday, February 29, 2012, through Sunday, March 4, 2012, in the area indicated on the map in the Airport Information section. A donation of $20 per vehicle will be requested for the entire weekend event.

Access to the area, which is located west of the beacon tower, is via the main road into the airport. Signs will be posted and directions will be given upon your arrival. Use caution when crossing taxiways; give right of way to all aircraft and obey all traffic signs. There are no water or sewer hook-ups. All grey and black water must be contained within your unit. No open fires will be permitted. Smoking is not permitted on the Tarmac or in the aircraft parking areas. You must keep your area clean and tidy.

Shuttle Service

Shuttle service between the City of Casa Grande Municipal Airport and the motels listed in the Lodging section will begin at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, March 2, 2012, and will run continuously until approximately 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. There will be limited Shuttle Service available Sunday morning.

Shuttle vans are provided as a courtesy by the Arizona Antique Aircraft Association and are operated by our volunteers. A $5.00 donation per person per trip is encouraged to support the Cactus Fly-In.

Volunteers are an integral part of the success of the Cactus Fly-In. There are a variety of opportunities to help throughout the event.
